The Blouhuis Cottage offers a unique blend of traditional and modern elements. The main bedroom has acomfortable queen bed, there is a bathroom which includes a shower and bath, a fully- equipped kitchenette, and a comfortable living area with single bed and two seater settee, and a 4 seater dinette. A braai is available as well. We will supply fresh towels in the bathroom and linen for the beds.
We take pride in our farm, and invite our guests to explore and enjoy it as well. You can go for a walk on our graded roads or hike in the veld, and enjoy the Karoo succulents or birdwatching and then listen for the fish eagles or owls. At night, after a beautiful Karoo sunset you can stargaze and enjoy our beautiful clear Karoo nights, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of our farm.
You can also learn about our farming with Red Angus cattle and Dorper Sheep,and how we are committed to sustainability and responsible farming and grow the feed for the animals. Our farm is 100% off the grid and we totally rely on sun/solar energy. Therefore no load shedding here.
